The fee to join Wema Welfare Association, Queensland is the one-time amount shown at checkout, currently 100 AUD. It is the membership fee. It is not a renewable subscription, and paying it does not start a second membership.
Consumer guarantees
Where the association supplies a service in trade or commerce, the Australian Consumer Law applies. Services must be provided with due care and skill, be fit for a purpose you made known, and be supplied within a reasonable time. Those guarantees cannot be excluded, even where this page says a fee is not refunded for a change of mind.
If a guarantee is not met, the remedies in the Australian Consumer Law are available. That can include a refund or another remedy, depending on whether the failure is major.
Change of mind
The membership fee is the price of joining the association under the constitution. We do not refund that fee because a member has changed their mind after joining. That position does not remove a remedy the Australian Consumer Law gives you.
Asking for a review
If a payment was taken in error, taken twice, or a service was not supplied as the website described, email admin@wemawelfare.org.au with your name, membership ID if you have one, the amount, and the date. We will look at the payment record and tell you the outcome.
Where a refund is made on a card payment, it is returned through Stripe to the original payment method. Offline payments are returned by the association using the method it agrees with you.
Other amounts
Reimbursements, levies, wallet balances, and bereavement payouts are association welfare transactions. They follow the constitution and the reimbursement rules. They are not retail purchases with a change-of-mind returns window. A payment that was recorded incorrectly can still be raised with the association at the address above.
